No, the virtual platform will only be used to have a face-to-face video call to complete the session. Similar to an in-person clinic visit, your physiotherapist will be charting the assessments and treatments using a secure online charting system. However, no video or audio will be recorded from the session.
A virtual assessment begins with a subjective portion which involves a conversation with your physiotherapist about your concerns, medical history, and goals for your physiotherapy treatment. Your physiotherapist will ask you questions that will provide more information about your condition. You will then move on to your objective assessment to look at things like your movement, posture, and strength. Finally, your physiotherapist will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan for your specific case. No, you will never be asked to undress or show your privates on camera.
Treatment plans may include a home exercise program, education, and self-management techniques, all tailored to your specific case. Your follow up treatment sessions may include looking at your progress and making any changes or adding new treatments to your plan.
